Cabinet pricing & budget planning
A cabinet budget built around your home.
Cabinet costs depend on your layout, selections, and the features you need. We’ll help you compare the options and understand where your budget makes the biggest difference.
Riverbend prices cabinetry from your actual design and selections, rather than a one-size-fits-all price per foot.

Choose the flexibility your project needs
Three cabinetry levels to compare.
The right choice depends on your design, priorities, and budget. You may not need full custom cabinetry to get the look and function you want.

Stock & value
Popular styles, finishes, and standard sizes with fewer modifications.

Semi-custom
More options for cabinet sizes, finishes, wood species, storage, and design details.
A fit for: Projects that need additional flexibility while working within a defined budget.

Fine & custom
Specialty woods, unique dimensions, custom colors, furniture details, and extensive modifications.
A fit for: Designs that call for highly personalized features or unusual spaces.
What changes the price?
Layout & cabinet count
The number and type of cabinets matter more than room size alone. Drawers, tall pantries, and specialty cabinets can change the total.
Brand & construction
Cabinet lines vary in box and drawer construction, hardware, finishes, available modifications, and included features.
Door style, wood & finish
Door details, wood species, painted or stained finishes, custom colors, glazes, and specialty finishing can affect price.
Storage & accessories
Deep drawers, roll-outs, trash pull-outs, corner solutions, pantry organizers, and inserts add function and may add cost.
Decorative details
Molding, finished ends, panels, glass doors, floating shelves, custom hoods, and furniture-style details affect the final design and price.
Custom sizing & modifications
Changes to standard cabinet dimensions and construction can increase flexibility and cost.
Spend on what matters to you.
Start with how you use your kitchen. You might prioritize deep drawers and pantry storage, a statement island, or a particular wood and finish.
If a design comes in above budget, we can compare another cabinet line, change a door style or finish, simplify decorative details, or prioritize accessories.

Questions about cabinet pricing.
Why don’t you quote a price per linear foot?
Two cabinet runs of the same length can contain very different combinations of doors, drawers, tall cabinets, storage features, panels, and trim. Pricing the actual layout gives you a more realistic picture of the project.
Are painted cabinets more expensive than stained cabinets?
The answer depends on the cabinet line, material, and finishing process. Specialty finishes, custom colors, wood species, and multi-step finishing can all affect the cost. We can compare alternatives for the look you want.
Does remodeling cost more than new construction?
Cabinet pricing is generally driven by the cabinetry and design. The wider project differs: remodeling may involve existing walls, plumbing, electrical work, flooring, and appliances, while new construction allows cabinetry to be planned earlier and often includes more rooms.
